EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY:

Civil Engineer in the Longview, TX Plant Support Team is a part of Worldwide Engineering and Construction (WWEC).  This position provides technical expertise to assist operating department personnel with project concept development and project cost estimates.  Serve as the lead design engineer and discipline job engineer for Plant Support Team projects, which include small capital projects, capital repairs, and work orders.  Position works closely with all disciplines in the Plant Support Team and Contractor Services to meet the objectives developed for each project.

Job Responsibilities include:

•  Serve as a lead design engineer for discipline related small capital projects (SCPs), work orders, and capital repairs

•  Serve as a discipline engineer for other SCPs, work orders, and capital repairs

•  Work with other Plant Support Team (PST) engineers and drafters to schedule, design, and monitor assigned projects

•  Develop project scopes and cost estimates, working closely with the Division/Department representative and other PST members

•  Coordinate, review, and approve work performed by other team engineers and drafters

•  Select and apply engineering standards for project design

•  Prepare project specifications, quotation requests, and purchase requisitions

•  Monitor the progress of assigned projects to ensure all objectives are met

•  Participate in PST regular team meetings

•  Follow through on all projects to ensure successful completion and customer satisfaction

Job Qualifications/Skills include:

•  Strong general Civil Engineering design skills

•  Prepare project specifications and purchase requisitions

•  Ability to manage multiple assignments

•  Function in a team environment

•  Coordinate and schedule project activities

•  Good verbal and written communication skills

GPA:  3.0 or above preferred. 

Work Authorization:  Authorized to work in US on a full-time basis (includes permanent resident).
