Unit Maintenance Engineer

Job Description:

A mechanical/civil engineer graduate will typically start off as a support engineer at the BP Texas City refinery and/or chemical plant. As a support engineer, you will be mentored by more experienced engineers in job note preparation, refinery specifications, turnaround development, etc. in preparation for your assignment to a specific process unit. During your time as the support engineer, you will experience specific rotations in different departments (the Repair Shop, Inspection Department, Rotating Equipment, etc...), in addition to attending internal/external training classes.

After completing your rotations, you will be assigned a permanent Unit Maintenance Engineer position at a specific process unit. Once assigned to a process unit, you will be responsible for improving the overall reliability of the unit and taking the lead role in your unit's turnaround maintenance activities.

Qualifications:

Bachelors of Science in Mechanical/Civil Engineering. Graduation date: December 2005 & August 2006.
